Our Approach
The word Kairos comes from Ancient Greek and refers to the right moment — a moment when meaningful change becomes possible.
If you’ve been living with persistent pain, you may have already tried many things and still feel like you’re missing answers. That experience is real — and it doesn’t have to be the end of the story.
Modern pain science tells us that persistent pain is rarely just a structural problem. It involves the nervous system, which can become sensitized and stuck in a protective state long after tissue has healed. Stress, sleep, anxiety, and past experiences are not just background factors — research shows they are genuine drivers of pain that deserve to be taken seriously alongside the physical.
Our approach begins with accurately identifying what is driving your symptoms across all of these dimensions. Care may include joint and soft tissue treatment, movement rehabilitation, pain neuroscience education, and nervous system-focused strategies — all grounded in current evidence.
You are not broken. Your nervous system has been doing its best to protect you. Our role is to help you find a new way forward.

The goal is simple
To help you understand your pain, reclaim your movement, and get back to the things that matter most
Conditions We Treat
Chiropractic care is for conditions affecting the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. From acute injuries to chronic and persistent pain, including central senzitization and neuroplastic pain.
Some common conditions include low back pain, neck pain, sciatica and nerve irritation, disc herniations, tension and cervicogenic headaches, postural strain and desk-related pain, sports and activity-related injuries, shoulder, hip and joint pain including jaw, elbow, wrist, ribs, knees and ankles.

Patients often visit when searching for a chiropractor in Oakland County for back pain, neck pain, or sciatica. We welcome patients from Troy, Birmingham, Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Bloomfield Hills, and surrounding Metro Detroit communities.

Her training in neuroplastic pain, the mind-body connection, and the Pain Mechanism Classification System means she is equipped to identify the root cause of why someone hurts, rather than simply where they hurt — a distinction that is critical in the treatment of chronic and persistent pain.

Dr. Ramsden believes that lasting recovery requires understanding the whole person — the physical, the neurological, and the human. That belief shapes every appointment at Kairos.
